On Behalf of the ISCT CGT Clinical Applications Program for Fellows Planning Committee
A fully funded, two-day immersion at the University of Pennsylvania for clinical fellows across the US and Canada. Applications now open, closing July 31, 2026.
Cell and gene therapies continue to advance from clinical trials into everyday practice across hematology, oncology, and immune-mediated disease. The clinicians who will carry that work forward are in training right now, and ISCT has built something new for them.
The ISCT Clinical Applications Program for Fellows is a two-day, fully funded program held October 26 to 27, 2026, at the University of Pennsylvania, where CAR-T cell therapy was pioneered. Forty fellows from the United States and Canada will work directly with the clinicians and scientists who shaped current practice, moving through the clinical decisions, operational realities, and emerging approaches they'll meet when these therapies reach their own patients. It's open to clinical fellows in hematology and oncology, transplantation, and immune-mediated disease, including rheumatology. This is the inaugural program in an ongoing ISCT training series, and the continuation of a commitment to the clinicians deploying these therapies at the bedside.
The program is built to meet fellows wherever they are, from first year through final year, and every fellowship year is encouraged to apply. First-year fellows especially: if you started your fellowship this July, this is for you. Come in now and you'll have the rest of your fellowship ahead of you to build on what you take from the program. If you're drawn to where this field is heading, you belong in this cohort.
Here's the part that matters most, and it's aimed at you, our members. Most of the fellows who should be in this room may never see this newsletter. You might be the reason one of them applies. If you work alongside a fellow drawn to cell and gene therapy, or you lead a program training fellows who are, forward this to them today. One message from you could put someone in front of the people building this field.
Applications are open through July 31, 2026. Full details, faculty, and eligibility are on the ISCT Institute of Training & Development site.
