ISCT Asia Pacific (APAC) Industry Committee

Furthering ISCT’s role in facilitating global and regional strategic partnerships, in March 2022, ISCT Industry Leadership launched the Asia Pacific (APAC) Industry Committee, expanding the ISCT Industry portfolio. The APAC Industry Committee was developed to offer a community forum for companies within the Asia Pacific region and/or multi-national organizations interested in conducting business in the region. Members of the APAC Industry committee are devoted to facilitating cross-border interaction, and work together to foster education, collaboration, and progress in overcoming obstacles to achieving product approvals for patients in need.

The Committee, chaired by ISCT SME William Milligan, Steminent, Taiwan/Canada, is comprised of industry company representatives and invited academic experts from across the APAC region. (current committee roster). Committee members participate in monthly meeting discussions focused on global partnerships, regional regulatory considerations, process development challenges, and more.

With the exponential growth of CGT companies and number of clinical trials conducted in the APAC region, the ISCT APAC Industry Committee is perfectly positioned to support the continued development of organizations driving innovation in the field.

MISSION:

• To identify the regional cell and gene therapy industry challenges within the Asia-Pacific region and to address them through the curation of educational initiatives.

GOALS:

• Provide a forum for companies in the Asia Pacific region to network, collaborate, and educate the broader industry about the unique challenges impacting CGT development in the region.
• Assist committee member companies to develop their global and commercialization strategies by leveraging multinational partnerships.

The APAC Industry Committee presented a roundtable at ISCT 2022 examining global market strategies and regulatory considerations for entering the APAC Market.

The Committee is currently recruiting industry companies (developers, enablers, investors, CROs, CMDOs) in the Asia Pacific Region.
