1. Respect and Inclusivity:
a. Treat all attendees, including speakers, organizers, and fellow participants, with respect and professionalism.
b. Embrace diversity and inclusivity, understanding that attendees may come from different backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.
c. Avoid making derogatory comments, engaging in discriminatory behavior, or harassing others in any form, including based on gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability.
2. Professionalism:
a. Maintain a professional demeanor throughout the event, both in person and online.
b. Act responsibly and with integrity, ensuring your actions align with the integrity of the scientific community.
c. Avoid engaging in any form of unethical behavior, such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or misconduct.
3. Collaboration and Networking:
a. Encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and constructive discussions among attendees.
b. Respect the opinions and expertise of others, even if they differ from your own.
c. Engage in networking opportunities with a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect.
4. Presentation and Q&A Sessions:
a. Engage in active listening during presentations and Q&A sessions, allowing speakers to express their ideas without interruption.
b. Ask questions or provide comments in a respectful and constructive manner.
c. Avoid monopolizing the discussion or making personal attacks towards speakers or their work.
5. Recording, Privacy and Confidentiality:
a. Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all attendees, both during the event and afterwards.
b. Refrain from recording (photographic, screen capture, audio/and or video), sharing, or disseminating any confidential or unpublished information from the sessions, presentations, and/or posters
c. Be mindful of the sensitivity of certain topics and exercise discretion when discussing them.
6. Compliance with Organizers' Instructions:
a. Comply with the instructions and guidelines provided by the organizers.
b. Respect venue rules, timing schedules, and any additional instructions communicated by the organizers.
c. Report any concerns or violations of the code of conduct to the designated point of contact.
7. Abstract Content/Presentation Embargo Policy:
a. Abstracts submitted to any ISCT Annual or Regional Meetings are embargoed from the time of submission
b. Information contained within, as well as additional data and information to be presented about the content, may not be published elsewhere, or made public before the abstract has been published/presented at the respective annual or regional meeting.
c. The embargo policy applies to all formats of abstract publication.
8. Consequences of Violations:
a. Violations of this code of conduct may result in appropriate actions, expulsion from the meeting with no refund, or legal consequences if necessary.
b. Participants are encouraged to report any misconduct or violations observed during the ISCT Event to the organizing committee.
