Health & Safety FAQs

Will everyone at the meeting be vaccinated?

ISCT requires all meeting attendees including staff to either be:

“Up to date” vaccinated

OR
“Fully vaccinated” with proof of a negative COVID-19 test

What does ‘up to date vaccinated mean”?

“Up to date vaccinated" is currently defined as a person that has completed the initial cycle as well as received a booster when eligible.

What does “fully vaccinated” mean?

“Fully vaccinated" is currently defined as a person who has completed the primary cycle (two shots for Moderna & Pfizer, 1 shot of J&J) of a WHO approved vaccine at least 14 days past the final administration of the second dose of a two-dose series (Moderna/Pfizer) or single dose administration (J&J).

Beginning 1 February 2022 proof of a negative COVID-19 test can replace the formerly mandated requirement for a booster.

What kind of masks are acceptable?

Surgical, N95, and KN95 masks are strongly preferred. Well-fitting cloth masks are also acceptable. Gaiters, bandanas, and masks with exhalation valves will not be accepted. If you do not have the proper mask, disposable surgical masks will be available.

Attendees who are not properly masked will be refused admittance to ISCT sessions, exhibit hall and events and may have their badges revoked. Please see CDC's guidance on masking.

What happens if I test positive while on site?

Attendees, staff, exhibitors, sponsors, partners, contractors, and vendors should stay home if they have tested positive for COVID-19, are waiting for COVID-19 test results, are feeling unwell, or if they have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive of COVID-19 within the last 14 days.

Attendees who test positive for COVID-19, must follow CDC guidance on quarantine and isolation. They will not be allowed to attend sessions in person. Please notify meetings@isctglobal.org  if you test positive while in person at the meeting. Please note that ISCT will not share your personal information if you notify us that you have tested positive.

    COVID-19 Travel Insurance

ISCT strongly encourages attendees to purchase COVID-19 travel insurance for their trip to ISCT 2022. In the event an attendee should contract COVID-19 in San Francisco, additional expenses should be covered by the enhanced insurance policy (please reconfirm with your insurance provider).

What if I am not vaccinated?

The continued health and safety of our global attendees is of paramount importance therefore unvaccinated attendees will not be able to attend our ISCT 2022 in-person meeting.
