Since 2020, the ISCT’s Newsletter “The Telegraft” has featured a bi-monthly section called “Under the Microscope” (UTM), offering an in-depth look at cells, subcellular components, and cellular products with translational relevance to the fields of cell and gene therapy. Over the past year, we’ve been fortunate to receive exceptional contributions from experts across Mexico, Ecuador, Sweden, Spain, the UK, and the USA. These articles have introduced us to a variety of fascinating topics, including the biology of iPSC-derived red blood cells and retinal pigmented epithelial cells, innovative CAR-T cell variants (such as CAR-MSCs), and the groundbreaking applications of AAV vectors in gene therapy.
Each UTM article features a striking image of the authors' favorite cell type, and some of the most captivating images from 2024 are showcased here.
