Devin McAvoy is the Research Laboratory Manager for the Immune Discovery and Modeling Service (IMDS) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Devin was the recipient of the Early Stage Professionals Abstract Award at the ISCT North America Regional Meeting held in Houston, TX, in September. His abstract and oral presentation showcased work from the IDMS that demonstrated a connection between recent thymic emigrant T cell reconstitution and graft versus host disease after hematopoietic stem cell transplant in younger patients. Shortly after receiving his award, Devin spoke with the Telegraft’s Ashley Krull and shared more details about his work that elaborated on what he had time to share in his brief abstract and talk.
