The Telegraft is excited to feature another rising star in ISCT for this month’s Member Spotlight! Kah Min Yap, M.Sc., joins an illustrious club of young researchers who in 2024 have won top awards at their very first ISCT conferences. Kah Min took home the Top Abstract Award at the 2024 ANZ Regional Meeting in Queenstown, New Zealand, for her abstract entitled, “Identifying Optimal Tumour-specific Promoters for CRISPR Knock-in Generated Armoured CAR T Cells.” Kah Min joined Telegraft Contributing Editor, Ashley Krull, Ph.D., for a cup of tea and more in-depth discussion of her fascinating thesis work. Kah Min also offered sage advice for students looking to emulate her globe-trotting research career and for those choosing an institution for graduate studies. We look forward to hearing more from this amazing young researcher and her team in the coming years!
